Evolution Kit Backup

Evolution Kit Backup

Upgrade your Samsung TV with the 2015 Evolution Kit to get the features and functions of a 2015 
Samsung TV. To upgrade successfully, you must back up and convert the existing data on your TV and 
apps to ensure the data is available on the upgraded device.

1. 

In the 

System

 menu, select 

Evolution Kit Backup

. The 

Evolution Kit Backup

 screen appears.

2. 

Select 

Start

. Data in the TV is backed up.

Do not turn the TV off or unplug the power cable of the TV during this backup.

 

"

Do not disconnect the USB storage device during this backup.

3. 

When the backup is complete, you will be asked to use a recording USB device to convert 

backed-up recorded programs. If a recording USB device is available for you, disconnect the USB 
device and connect the recording USB device to the USB HDD 5V 1A terminal at the back of the 
TV. The 

Update Recorded Programs

 screen appears.

Select 

No

 if no USB recording device is available for you. The Backup Complete screen appears. Select 

Done

 to restart the TV, and start again with the first step above.

Proceed with the conversion of recorded programs in 

System

 > 

Update Recorded Programs

.

4. 

Select 

Start

. The Evolution Kit then converts the recorded programs saved on the recording USB 

device so they can be played properly on the TV.

Do not turn the TV off or unplug the power cable of the TV during this conversion.

Do not disconnect the USB recording device during this conversion.

5. 

When complete, select 

Done
