Q The player does not work properly
A Refer to “Troubleshooting” of “Operation Guide (PDF file).”
A Reset the player by pressing the RESET button with a
small pin, etc.
All the data (including sample data) and settings you
have stored may be deleted, if you press the RESET
button while any operation is in progress.
Q To initialize (format) the player
A Be sure to format the built-in flash memory using the Menu mode on this player
following the procedure below. (Check all contents before formatting as all data
stored will be erased.)

Press and hold the BACK/HOME button in the stop mode until the Home
menu appears.

Select (Settings) – “Common Settings” – “Format” – “Yes” – “Yes,” in
this order.
Press the /// button to select the item, and then press the button to
confirm. While the memory is being formatted, an animated display appears.
When initialization finishes, “Memory formatted.” appears.
Note
Do not format the built-in flash memory of the player using Windows Explorer.

Q An error message appears on the computer when installing
A Make sure the operating system ( Back Cover) of your computer can be used with
the player.
Q The computer does not start automatically when inserting the
supplied CD-ROM
A The install wizard may not start when inserting the CD-ROM, depending on the
computer setting.
In this case, right-click the drive on Windows Explorer to open, and double-click
SetupSS.exe.
The main menu for installing appears.
Q A computer does not recognize the player
A Connect to another USB connector of your computer.
Q Some functions are restricted by software
A When you use the software, log on as an administrator.
