SafeGuard PrivateDisk is an easy-to-use slimline solution that protects confidential files against unauthorised access and intrusion.
Whether a PC is for private use or part of the company network, there are many files that should not be shared with others. In case
of loss or theft, sensitive data on notebooks and desktops should be kept private.
The Secure Virtual Disk technology by Utimaco Safeware offers the ideal solution: SafeGuard PrivateDisk protects sensitive and
valuable files as automatically and reliably as an "electronic safe".
SafeGuard PrivateDisk creates an encrypted virtual disk drive by providing an additional hard drive on the PC. But in place of a real
disk drive, it employs a single additional file. This file - called a volume file - stores the entire contents, securely encrypted, with an
up-to-the-minute, fast algorithm. This ensures that sensitive and valuable files are protected effectively.
Virtual disks can be stored on local hard disks, on network drives as well as on removable media like Memory Sticks.
