To turn the PT878GC off, press the red key for 3 seconds. The
screen now appears similar to Figure 2-5 below.

Three options are available:

to shut down the PT878GC, turning it completely
off.

to send the PT878GC into sleep mode. In this mode,
some of the power supplies shut down, but the PT878GC
remains in a standby mode. Users can resume taking
measurements immediately by pressing the power button.

to cancel the command and return the PT878GC to
normal operation.
If the PT878GC locks up, you can reset it by holding the power
key (the red key in the upper right corner) for 15 seconds.
