This procedure is for installing or replacing the ribbon tension control board. Read these 
instructions thoroughly before performing this procedure.

Refer to 

 and remove the print engine from the applicator.

. Locate the ribbon tension control board on the back wall of the electronics 

enclosure.

Disconnect all the cables from the ribbon tension control board. 

Remove the four hex screws, the cable clamp, and the ribbon tension control board.

Caution • A qualified service technician must perform this installation.

‰ Screwdriver, Phillips No. 1, Extended 

Reach (10 in. shaft), Magnetic

‰ Metric Hex Key (Allen Wrench) Set

Be sure to note the location of all cables and the cable clamp for your print engine.
