Install a spare battery in
the base unit.

#Place a spare battery

in the compartment
with the charge
contacts facing up.

$Push the compartment

closed firmly.

•The CHARGE indicator

flashes for 3 seconds and
the light goes out.

An optional spare battery works as emergency power during a power
failure. The fully charged spare battery provides the base unit to receive
calls from the handset for up to 5 hours. Moreover, when the handset
battery needs charging, replace it with the fully charged spare battery.
This eliminates having to wait for the handset battery recharge. 
Please purchase the Panasonic PQWBTG1000N battery and install it
in the Spare Battery Compartment in the base unit to charge.

Open the spare battery
compartment by pressing
the release button. 

•The spare battery is always being charged in the base unit while the AC adaptor is

connected. It will be fully charged in 24 hours. The battery cannot be overcharged.

•When using the unit during Power Backup mode, audio quality may be

compromised due to reduced Power availability.

•Even if the spare battery has been fully charged, the unit may not work within

minutes after a power failure. In that case, replace the battery with a new
Panasonic battery.
