10 – Settings and Information
Restoring the factory settings
Use the 
INITIALIZE
 item to restore the various settings of this unit 
to their factory settings.
1.  Turn the DATA dial to select 
INITIALIZE
, and press the DATA 
dial or / button to highlight 
Exec
.
2   Press the DATA dial again to open a confirmation pop-up 
window.
3   Press the DATA dial to initialize the unit. Press Stop (8) [HOME
button to cancel initialization.
Using QUICK FORMAT
Using 
QUICK
 
FORMAT
 erases all music files on the card and automat-
ically creates new “MUSIC” and “UTILITY” folders as well as the “dr-1.
sys” file that is necessary to use the SD card with the DR-60DMKII.
1.  Turn the DATA dial to select 
QUICK FORMAT
, and press the 
DATA dial or / button to highlight 
Exec
.
2   Press the DATA dial to open a pop-up confirmation window.
3   Press the DATA dial to execute the quick formatting, or press 
the Stop (8) [HOME] button to cancel formatting.
Using FULL FORMAT
Use the 
FULL
 
FORMAT
 item to completely format the SD card.
Full formatting checks the memory for errors while formatting, so it 
takes more time than quick formatting.
Using 
FULL
 
FORMAT
 erases all music files on the card and automati-
cally creates new “MUSIC” and “UTILITY” folders as well as the “dr-1.
sys” file that is necessary to use the SD card with the DR-60DMKII.

Stop (8) [HOME] button to cancel formatting.
CAUTION
When formatting a card, the unit should be operating on AC 
power supplied through the PS-P515U adapter (sold separately), 
USB bus power supplied from a computer, or batteries with suffi-
cient remaining power. If the power fails during formatting, the 
formatting may not occur correctly.
