Note: Your computer does not support the content protection for recordable media (CPRM) feature
for the SD card.

Attention:

• Before handling a micro SD card, touch a metal table or a grounded metal object. This action reduces any

static electricity from your body. Static electricity can damage the card.

• During the data transfer, do not put your computer into sleep or hibernation mode before the data transfer

is completed; otherwise, your data could get damaged.

To install or remove a micro SD card, do the following:

1. Remove the cover of the micro-SD-card slot at the rear side of the computer.
2. Push the micro SD card inward a little bit until you hear a click and then release it. The micro SD card

ejects. Gently slide the card out of the card slot.

3. Insert the new micro SD card. The card might stop before it is completely installed into the card reader.

Ensure that you insert the card firmly until you hear a click.

Note: Ensure that the metal contacts of the card are facing down and pointing toward the computer.

4. Install the cover of the card slot.

Replacing the base cover

Before you start, print these instructions. Read the important safety information first. See “Important
safety information” on page vi.

Note: Depending on the model, your computer might look slightly different from the illustrations in this topic.

To replace the base cover, do the following:

1. Turn off your computer and disconnect the ac power adapter and all cables from the computer.
2. Disable the built-in battery. See “Disabling the built-in battery” on page 117.
3. Close the computer display, and then turn the computer over.
