1. INTRODUCTION
Thank you for choosing the scala rider Q1® Bluetooth® 
communication and entertainment system for motorcycle helmets. 
This manual will help you set up, configure and operate the 
scala rider Q1
If you have purchased the Q1 TeamSet™, your retail box 
contains two factory-paired scala rider Q1 units.
Among others, the scala rider Q1 offers the following key features:
INTERCOM OPTIONS (IN FULL DUPLEX)
• Rider-to-Passenger intercom
•  Click-to-Link® Intercom: For spontaneous connection with random 
scala rider users nearby who have CTL capability enabled
MULTIPLE DEVICE CONNECTIVITY
•  Mobile phones / MP3 Players / GPS (Sat-Nav) devices (2 Bluetooth 
connections) 
• Other scala riders via intercom
ENTERTAINMENT OPTIONS
•  Wireless music streaming via devices supporting Bluetooth Stereo 
A2DP and AVRCP profiles
• Audio Players (non-Bluetooth) via cable (provided)
• Built-in FM Radio with 6 station presets and auto-tuning

ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY

AGC (Automatic Gain Control) technology, for the automatic 
adjustment of volume according to ambient noise and driving 
speed. You can also control the volume level manually. AGC 
sensitivity levels can be customized to suit your personal 
preferences.

preferences.

PLC (Packet Loss Concealment) software for real-time 
compensation of audio losses in challenging environments.

Volume Per Mode: Volume is set and saved at different levels for 
each audio source.
