The Basics

• On the Home screen, press and hold the End button. The left soft key will 

display Unlock, indicating that the Smartphone is locked.

To unlock the keypad

• On the 

screen, press the

Locking the Smartphone

Locking the Smartphone prevents access to personal data. When you enable 

this feature, the Smartphone will automatically lock after a specified time of 

inactivity. A screen will be displayed requiring your Smartphone lock pass-

word before access is granted.

To lock the Smartphone

1.Press the 

 button to display the Quick List, select 

, and 

then press the 

 soft key.

2.Under 

, select the amount of time the Smartphone is inac-

tive before the Smartphone automatically locks.

3.Under 

, enter the password you want to use to access the Smart-

phone when it is locked.

4.Under 

, enter the password again, and press the 

 

soft key.

To unlock your Smartphone

• Press the 

 soft key, enter your password, and then press the 

 

soft key again.

To turn off phone lock

You can still receive calls and make emergency calls when the keypad is locked.

You can still receive calls and make emergency calls when the Smartphone is locked.

After you have selected the time delay and created a password, you can then quickly 

lock your Smartphone from the Quick List, without having to view these settings.
