A number of factors can influence the range of the unit. The range can be optimised by applying the following rules:

Ensure the path between transmitter and receiver is as clear from obstructions as possible.

Do not mount the unit on metal surfaces.

LOW BATTERY INDICATION: The transmitted output power and range of the unit will decrease as the battery

type ensuring the polarity is correct and the connector contacts are tight. If the battery is inserted backwards, the

Note: The 1143 product requires the front cover to be removed to change the battery.

PROGRAMMING: The 1167 can be programmed using an IBM
TM
compatible personal computer, a SALCOM 1146
serial adapter and the SALCOM 1143PSD programming software.
