6.2 TAP Protocol Issues
6.2.1
Timing
The

will wait for a response to come back from the Entry Device. If a response is not received before
the pre-programmed time-out period, the
Peoplefinder II
will cancel the current transaction, sending the <ESC>
<EOT> <CR> sequence.
6.2.2
Line Feeds
The
Peoplefinder II
will ignore all <LF> characters it receives. The Entry Device may send a <LF> with any <CR>.
XOFF
In the very unlikely event that the user enters more pages than the
Peoplefinder II
can queue up, the
Peoplefinder II
will
send the <XOFF> character before sending a carriage return. It will send the <XON> character when buffer
space is available for more pages. If the
