To use the Programmer to Read the endpoint’s meter reading information, align the optical port on the bottom of the hand-

held computer and the LED and select the “Read” RIGHT Soft Menu key.  If the port and the LED are aligned, you’ll see this 

message :

Once the endpoint information has been read, the other fields on the screen will be updated.  Once all the information is 

gathered, you’ll hear a beep and see this screen.

All Badger Meter ORION Endpoints are programmed at the factory to begin sending its meter reading as soon as the Encoder/

Register registers flow through the meter.  As a result, you can install Badger Meter ORION endpoints on meters without hav-

ing to manually start the endpoint.
