To exit emergency at any time, press and hold the 
Emergency button.
Before using this product, read the operating 
instructions for safe usage contained in the Product 
Safety and RF Exposure booklet enclosed with your 
radio.

Press the Power On/Off button to toggle the power on 
or off. 
Press the Up arrow on the Volume Rocker to increase 
volume.

Press the Down arrow on the Volume Rocker to 
decrease the volume.

Press the Menu Select button directly below 
Zone 
The display shows the current zone and channel.

 or the PTT button to confirm the selected 
zone number.

Press the PTT button to begin transmitting on the 
displayed zone channel.

Press the Mode Rocker Up or Down to the desired 
channel.

Press the Mode Rocker Up or Down to the desired 
channel.

H or the PTT button to confirm the channel.

Press the PTT button to transmit on the displayed 
zone channel.

Listen for a transmission.

Adjust the Volume Rocker if necessary.

If you hear no activity, press and hold the PTT button 
to start your conversation.

Press the PTT button.

If you hear two, short, high-pitched tones, or if you 
hear no tone and the red 
t indicator lights steadily, 
then proceed with your message.

Release the PTT button to receive (listen).

Press the preprogrammed Emergency button. A 
tone sounds and the display shows 
Emergency.

A dispatcher acknowledgment 
Ack Received 
display follows.
AND, Trunking Only:
A high-pitched tone indicates that the alarm has been 
received by the trunked system’s central controller.

Press and hold the emergency button or the PTT 
button to return to normal operation.
