Getting started

 

Congratulations on purchasing your Estimote Beacon. Read this 

guide to get started.

 

Estimote  Beacon  H1.7  is  a  Bluetooth®  Smart  device.  It  wirelessly  communicates   

with Bluetooth® Smart Ready products. The device is equipped with a high-end 

accelerometer with motion detection features.  The batteries can supply power for 

over 7 years of continuous use (on default settings).

 

After installation, the Beacons begin transmitting 2.4 GHz Bluetooth® signals, similar 

to WiFi. They can communicate with smartphones that are as close as four inches away, 

or as far as 230 feet away.

 

Applications

 

To download the Estimote app for your iOS device please visit the App Store on iTunes, 

the App Store on your iOS device or download iTunes at 

https://itunes.apple.com/. For 

Android visit the Google Play Store at 

https://play.google.com/store.

 

In  both cases, search for Estimote, download the app and proceed  to  follow  the app 
instructions. 

Mounting 

•  Take beacon out of the box 
•  Shake beacon to enter configuration mode  –  this puts the beacon in a state 

where its settings can be adjusted for a short time 

•  Attach beacon where required using velcro 
•  You’re done!
