Making calls with VoIP and the fixed network

Accepting a call
The handset indicates an incoming call by
ringing and by the flashing handsfree
key
d. The display shows the caller's
number or name and the receive number
the caller is calling (e.g.
for Fixed Line

IP1
etc.).
You can accept the call by:

If the handset is in the charging cradle and

Auto Answer
function is activated
(page 17), the handset will take a call
automatically when you lift it out of the
cradle.

Setting and dialling emergency
numbers

You can store up to five emergency num-
bers in your telephone. The default setting
for the phone is that these emergency
numbers are always dialled via the fixed
network (fixed line) – irrespective of
which connection type you select.
The fixed network always supports gen-
eral emergency numbers
(e.g.establishing a connection to the local
police emergency number).

Enter your emergency numbers in the
fields in the
Emergency Numbers
area.
Change previously entered emergency
numbers.

to save the settings.
Please note:
The handset will only indicate calls to receive
numbers assigned to the handset (page 32).
If no specific receive numbers are assigned, all
calls are signalled on all handsets.
Please note:
– You can use the Web configurator to display
whether and which emergency numbers
are saved on your phone.
– If you have used the Web configurator to
deactivate the
Emergency calls always via
fixed line
function and have entered an
automatic local area code for VoIP calls

local area code will also be prefixed to the
emergency numbers when they are dialled
using VoIP.
