Understanding “Meeting Applications” 

Throughout this document we will refer to “WebEx Meeting Applications”. Cisco WebEx Meeting Applications is a 

general category that includes both Cisco WebEx Meeting Center and also Cisco WebEx Meetings.

Cisco WebEx Meetings is the next generation Cisco WebEx product line. Much like Meeting Center, it 

enables the sharing of presentations, documents, applications, and desktops in real time with anyone, 

anywhere, anytime. WebEx Meetings also includes persistent meeting spaces to support the entire meeting 

lifecycle.

Cisco WebEx Meeting Center was replaced by Cisco WebEx Meetings in June 2012, though some 

customers can still opt to select Meeting Center.
