Operation
Ensure you have read specialist literature on setting up circuits before working with the
breadboard. Improper use can lead to destruction of components and the breadboard.
In schools, training facilities, hobby or self-service workshops, handling of electrical
devices must be monitored by trained personnel.
Connect the breadboard to a mains power supply outlet.
The electrical connections are made as follows:
Keep things orderly when working. We recommend using the specified designations (+/-) so as
to ensure a successful set-up of the circuit.
1.  Make sure the device is turned off. The on/off switch (1) must be in the off position (0).
2.  For a constant positive power supply:
 - Connect a suitable cable to the screwed connection (4) +5 V/1 A. Connect the other end of the cable
to the desired plug array (+).
 - Connect a suitable cable to the ground connection (3). Connect the other end of the cable to the
corresponding negative plug array (-).
3.  For a variable positive power supply:
 - Connect a suitable cable to the screwed connection (5) 0~ +15 V. Connect the other end of the cable
to the desired plug array (+).
 - Connect a suitable cable to the ground connection (3). Connect the other end of the cable to the
corresponding negative plug array (-).
 - The voltage can thus be set with the rotary switch V+ (8). Measure the voltage level with a suitable
measuring instrument to determine the required voltage.
4.  For a variable negative power supply:
 - Connect a suitable cable to the screwed connection 0~ -15V (6). Connect the other end of the cable
to the desired negative plug array (-).
 - Connect a suitable cable to the ground connection (3). Connect the other end of the cable to the
corresponding positive plug array (+).
 - The voltage can thus be set with the rotary switch V- (7). Measure the voltage level with a suitable
measuring instrument to determine the required voltage.
5.  Set up your circuit.
6.  Switch the power supply on with the on/off switch (1).
If the circuit doesn’t function, immediately switch the device off with the on/off switch
and correct the set-up.
Replacing the fuse
1.  The fuse compartment is located on the back of the breadboard, next to the power cord terminal.
2.  Use a Phillips screwdriver to open the fuse compartment.
3.  Take the old fuse out and replace it with a new one of the same type (230 V / 500 mA, slow blowing).
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.

Version  03/14
Item no. 530213
Intended use
The product is for the mechanical attachment and electrical connection of active and passive components.
It is suitable for the experimental set-up of circuits, such as for hobbies and model construction and use in
laboratories, industry, universities and schools. You can thus test your circuit set-up, for example, before
implementing it on a printed circuit board. A power supply is integrated via a mains cable so that the circuit
can be immediately tested with constant or variable DC voltage.
The product may only be operated in a dry indoor environment.
For safety and approval purposes (CE), you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you use the
product for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged. In addition, improper
use can cause hazards such as short circuiting, fire, electric shock etc. Read the instructions carefully and
keep them. Make this product available to third parties only together with its operating instructions.
This  product  complies  with  the  statutory  national  and  European  requirements. All  company  names  and

Safety instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety information.
If you do not follow the safety instructions and information on proper handling in this
manual, we assume no liability for any resulting personal injury or damage to property.
Such cases will invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
a) Persons / Product
•  Make sure that the breadboard is switched off when you are building a circuit.
•  Make sure that the product is provided with adequate ventilation during operation.
•  Never pull the mains plug from the socket by pulling at the cable. Always pull it from the mains
socket using the intended grips.
•  Unplug the mains plug from the mains socket if you do not use the device for an extended
period of time.
•  Make sure that the mains cable is not squeezed, bent, damaged by sharp edges or put under
mechanical stress. Avoid excessive thermal stress on the mains cable from extreme heat or
cold. Do not modify the mains cable. Otherwise the mains cable may be damaged. A damaged
mains cable can cause a deadly electric shock.
•  Do not touch the mains cable if it is damaged. First, power down the respective mains socket
(e.g. via the respective circuit breaker) and then carefully pull the mains plug from the mains
socket. Never use the product if the mains cable is damaged.
•  Never plug in or unplug the mains plug when your hands are wet.
•  The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
•  Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may become dangerous
playing material for children.
•  Protect  the  product  from  extreme  temperatures,  direct  sunlight,  strong  jolts,  high  humidity,
moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
•  Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
•  If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it from
any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
 - is visibly damaged,
 - is no longer working properly,
 - has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
 - has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
•  Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage
the product.
•  Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices which are connected
to the product.
b) Miscellaneous
•  Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of the device.
•  Maintenance, modifications and repairs are to be performed exclusively by an expert or at a
qualified shop.
•  If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions, contact our
technical support service or other technical personnel.
