Step 3 - Add More Memory

models come standard with 4 GB (2 x 2GB) of low power memory and are
expandable to 32GB. The SAN Gateway model comes standard with 8GB (4 x 2GB)
of low power memory and is expandable to 64GB

Step 4 - Add Network Adapters

NOTE: DL380 G5 Storage Servers support only PCIe expansion cards.

Dual Embedded NC373i Multifunction Gigabit Server Adapters with TCP/IP Offload Engine standard. Select additional cards for
higher performance and further redundancy.

NOTE: Multifunction Server Adapters (including the embedded NC373i) support the installed Microsoft Windows Server 2003
Scalable Networking Pack, which enables TCP Chimney offload, Receive-side Scaling (RSS), and Network Direct Memory Access
(NetDMA) features.
NOTE: Multifunction Server Adapters also support RDMA through optional ProLiant Essentials Licensing Kits.

NOTE: DL380 G5 Storage Servers support only PCIe expansion cards.

DL380 G5 Storage Servers (except the SAN Gateway model) come standard with one installed Smart Array P800 controller for
internal drives and easy external expansion; the SAN Gateway model comes standard with one Smart Array P400 controller. Select
additional controllers from the below list only if required.

NOTE: Please consult specifications for available expansion slots (which varies by model) when ordering addition storage controllers.

DL380 G5 Storage Servers accommodate an internal maximum of 2 operating system SFF HDDs plus 6 data SFF HDDs (note that the
1.16TB SAS model comes standard with eight internal SAS drives that span both O/S and data; all other models come standard
with two 72GB SFF O/S drives only).

NOTE: The DL380 G5 SAN Gateway Storage Server is primarily intended for use as a SAN/array gateway, but can support
