on the NI website,

Operating System: Windows XP, 7, 8 

Functionality 
check 

1.  Start the NI Measurement and Automation 

Explorer (MAX) program. Using Windows, 
press:  

 

 

2.  From the  Configuration panel access; 

 

3.  Press Scan for Instruments.
