h) Mounting the Catapult Starting Aid
In addition to conventional starting methods, you may also start the
“Apollo” model by catapult starting.
The device required for this (GFK-pin) is fastened at the leading
edge of the wing. To adjust to your habits (left- or right-handed), both
the left and right wing has the corresponding bore.
Also observe the notes in chapter “Flying the Model In”.
Feel for the bore and uncover the hole. Push the GFK pin 4 x 35 mm into the bore
as shown in figure 10 and fasten it with a few drops of superglue. Observe
symmetrical alignment (A = A’).
i) Mounting the Receiver and Receiver Battery
Installation of receiver and receiver battery depending on many factors and is
presented as installation recommendation only in this chapter. The figure shows
the receiver (1) and receiver battery (2) placed in the fuselage tip.
Finally, you need to determined the installation site of the individual components
depending on size and weight of the receiver or battery selected.
This also includes compliance with the centre of gravity (see one of the following
chapters). The objective must be being able to maintain the centre of gravity by
proper placement without using a trimming lead if possible.
Due to the narrow space and to save weight, we recommend not
installing an on/off switch for the receiver system but connecting the
receiver battery right to the receiver at all times.
j) Mounting the Wing to the Fuselage
The two wing halves are assembled with a large GFK pin (120 x 7 mm) and a
small GFK pin (80 x 4 mm) (1). We recommend fastening the GFK pins to a wing
with a drop of superglue. The GFK-pins should only be pushed into the respective
guides  to 50% of their length.
Before installing the wing, first connect the aileron servos to the corresponding
servo outputs of the receiver.
Place the wing on the fuselage and install it with the screws and GFK washers as
shown in figure 12, item 2. The longer screws (M3 x 25 mm) are used in front,
the shorter ones (M3 x 20 mm) in back.
Observe symmetric seat of the wings to the tail units (also see figure 5).
k) Mounting the Canopy
The canopy is already included with the construction kit fully completed. The canopy is inserted with the installed hook in the front fuselage section and fastened
with the screw.
