f) Switching on and programming the speed controller
First switch on the remote control (transmitter), see chapter 10. c) and 10. d), if you have not already done so!
Now turn on the speed controller.
The speed controller might have to be programmed to neutral position or full-throttle forward/reverse position.
Observe the operating instructions of the speed controller.
g) Checking drive and steer functions
Before using the model, always check if the remote control (transmitter) settings are correct and if the vehicle responds
to the remote signals correctly.
As described in chapter 10. e), the vehicle has to be placed on a suitable support (e.g. starter box) so that
the drive can turn freely.
• Set the drive trim control on your remote control so that the drive does not move when the throttle is in neutral
position.
• Set the steering trim control so that the front wheels point forward when the steering control wheel on your remote
control is in centre position.
If the trim control cannot be moved far enough, adjust the servo arm on the servo axis or twist the servo rod.
• Check if the steering responds correctly to the remote steering commands. Should the response to the steering
commands be in the opposite direction, e.g. when a pistol grip remote control is used (wheel turned left, steering
turns right), activate the reverse function.
The same applies to forward/reverse drive. If the speed controller is equipped with a brake function, you might have
to swap the two motor cables (between the motor and the speed controller) in addition to the activation of the reverse
function.
Please also note the operating instructions of your remote control.
h) Attaching and fastening the vehicle body
Push the aerial tube from the bottom of the body through the designated opening. If there is no opening, you can easily
make one at the appropriate spot using a suitable tool.
Now put the vehicle body on the holders and fasten them using the holding clips previously removed.
Your vehicle is now ready for its first test run!
