Tool Set Up
TO pREVENT SERIOUS INJURy FROM ACCIDENTAL OpERATION:
Release the Trigger, unplug the tool from its electrical outlet and allow the wheel to cool
completely before performing any inspection, maintenance, or cleaning procedures.
To Remove or Install a Cut-Off Wheel
1. Raise the Saw if it is locked down by pushing
down on it and pulling out the Hinge Lock (18).
2. Open the Swing Guard (61) and tighten the Bolt (63)
to secure it while working on the Wheel.
3. Push the Spindle Lock (78) towards the
Upper Guard (58) as shown in
Figure A. Rotate the
wheel until the Spindle Lock (78) slides into place.

4. While continuing to hold down the
Spindle Lock (78), loosen the Spindle Bolt (66).
5. Remove the Spindle Bolt (66),
the Flange Washer (67), one Flange (68),
and the cut-off wheel (sold separately).
Leave the other Flange (68) in place on
the Spindle (70). See
Figure B.

6. Replace with a new cut-off wheel, and reassemble
the parts listed in step 5. The concave sides of the
Flanges (68) must face the wheel. While holding
the Spindle Lock (78), tighten the Spindle Bolt (66).
7.
LOOSEN THE BOLT (63) and make sure
that the Swing Guard (61) moves freely
back into place before operation.
CAUTION! Adjust the Cutting Depth whenever a
worn down wheel is replaced with a new one.
Depth Adjustment
1. Loosen the Nut (4) on the
Depth Adjustment Bolt (23) shown in
Figure C.

2. Turn the Depth Adjustment Bolt to change
the depth so that the wheel will not contact
the base at any time during cutting.
3. After adjustment, tighten the Nut (4) against the
Bracket (82) to lock the adjustment in place.
