CIFS
25.1 Overview
The chapter provides information for the Common Internet File System (CIFS) in Configuration.
25.2 CIFS Service
The CIFS function can be used to setup CIFS services to support file services for Windows-based
computers. UNS Series unified storage provides CIFS capabilities without the need for a Windows
server in the network. Starting this service opens the following ports on the UNS Series unified
storage system:
