6.4 COMMISSIONING
6.4.1  Commissioning Procedure after Power Up
1. Initialisation
The operator can initialise just the Integral OTU, just the Controller, or
both together by using the appropriate handset command value:

Initialising OTU only:

Enter CNN=117, LRN=53 and TKE=199.

The Integral OTU is initialised as soon as the commands have

been entered. There is no need to power off and then back on.

Initialising Controller only:

Enter CNN=117, LRN=53 and TKE=241.

Power off and then back on.

Initialising both the OTU and controller:

Enter CNN=117, LRN=53 and TKE=100.
Power off and then back on. Note: If the Integral OTU is not fitted or
is disabled, the initialisation commands to the OTU will be ignored
but the controller initialisation will continue unaffected.

2. OTU Override

The OTU fitted command OTF has level 3 access.

On a Pelican:

Enter OTF=1
To indicate that an Integral OTU is fitted.

Enter OTF=0
To indicate that an Integral OTU is not fitted.

   (Default
state.)

This change will have no effect until either,

- Only the OTU is reset (no power off/on) or

- Power is switched off and back on (whether resetting or not).
If the response is *C, this indicates that the configuration Prom does not
support the Integral OTU.

If the response is *M, this indicates that the Firmware and configuration
Proms do not support the Integral OTU.

On an Intersection Controller:

Enter OTF. The response will be OTF:1 if the Integral OTU has been
configured as required in the configuration Prom. The response will be
OTF:0 if the Integral OTU has been configured as not required in the
configuration Prom.

Configure the Outstation using a handset terminal connected to the Controller
Main Processor Board. See sections 6.3.2 and 6.3.4 for an explanation of
commands that need to be entered.
