license
files
Each
DB2
product
and
feature
has
a
license
file
associated
with
it.
The
license
file
is
found
on
the
associated
activation
CD
supplied
as
a
part
of
the
product
media.
You
should
register
the
license
file
before
using
the
DB2
product.
The
management
of
licenses
for
DB2
products
or
features
is
done
through
the
License
Center
within
the
Control
Center,
or,
through
the
db2licm
License
Management
Tool
command.
To
assist
you
in
managing
your
licenses,
a
compliance
report
lists
the
compliance
or
noncompliance
of
DB2
features
with
your
current
product
entitlement.
If
you
installed
a
DB2
product
with
a
try
and
buy
license
and
now
want
to
upgrade
to
a
full
license,
you
do
not
need
to
reinstall
the
DB2
product.
You
simply
upgrade
your
license.
This
is
also
true
for
upgrading
from
one
license
type
to
another,
for
example
upgrading
from
a
User
license
to
a
CPU
license.

or
feature
license
key
where
the
DB2
product
or
feature
is
installed.
For
more
information
on
these
product
options,

the

the

If
you
want
the
product
or
feature
license
key
added
automatically
during
the
installation,
you
need
to
copy
the
license
key
to
the
/db2/license
directory
of
the
installation
image
before
launching
the
DB2
Setup
wizard.
