Maintaining the HeartStart XLT
Power Supply
Battery - make sure:
z
a charged battery is in the HeartStart XLT
z
another battery is charged or being charged
z
the batteries have no visible signs of damage
AC/Power Module
1. Make sure a battery is in the HeartStart XLT.
2. Plug the power module into a power outlet and connect it to the Heart-
Start XLT.
3. Verify that the power and charging indicators on the power module are
lit.
4. Remove the battery from the HeartStart XLT and verify that the charg-
ing indicator on the power module is no longer lit. Replace the battery.
Printer - make sure the printer:
z
has sufficient paper
z
prints properly
