Upgrading to StorNext 3.5.1 (SNFS Only)

(Optional) After upgrading, restore the previous client configuration (see

If a previous version of StorNext older than version 3.0 exists on the system, you 

must remove it before installing the new version. If you are upgrading from a 

version of StorNext newer than version 3.0, the old client configuration is retained 

so there is no need to restore the old configuration.

Insert the StorNext installation CD.

Browse to the root directory of the installation CD and double-click the file  

 (64-bit systems).

A dialog box appears informing you that the current client configuration has 

been saved.

Note the name and location of the saved configuration file, and then click 

.

If prompted, click 

 to continue, and then click 

 to finish the removal.

When the removal is complete, click 

 to reboot the system.

To launch the setup wizard, use the correct StorNext installation CD for your 

operating system.

Insert the StorNext installation CD.

You must log on as an Administrator to install StorNext.

After installing the new version of StorNext, you can restore the saved 

client configuration (see
