A list of the user roles defined in Cisco UCS Central.

If the associated check box is checked, the selected user has been
assigned that user role.

A list of the locales defined in Cisco UCS Central.

If the associated check box is checked, the selected user has been
assigned that locale.

(Optional) If the system includes organizations, check one or more check boxes in the Assigned Role(s) pane
to assign the user to the appropriate locales.

Do not assign locales to users with an admin
role.

In the Create Locally Authenticated User dialog box, click the SSH tab and complete the following fields:

This can be one of the following:

• Key—SSH encryption is used when this user logs in.

• Password—The user must enter a password when they log in.

Type field

If Type is set to Key, this field contains the associated SSH key.

SSH Data field

Click OK.

The following words cannot be used when creating a local user account in Cisco UCS and Cisco UCS Central.

• daemon

• adm

• ip

• sync

• shutdown

• halt
