Utility
program
is

BIOS.
You
can

it
to
perform
the

for
devices
and
I/O
ports

Set
the
date
and
time
v
Set
and
change
passwords
v
Set
and
change
the
startup
characteristics
of
the
server
and
the
order
of
startup
devices
(startup-drive
sequence)

Set
and
change
settings
for
advanced
hardware
features
v
View
and
clear
the
error
log
v
Change
interrupt
request
(IRQ)
settings
v
Enable
USB
keyboard
and
mouse
support
v
Resolve
configuration
conflicts
To
start
the
Configuration/Setup
Utility
program,
complete
the
following
steps:
1.
Turn
on
the
server.
2.
When
the
message
Press
F1
for
Configuration/Setup
is
displayed,
press
F1.
If
an
administrator
password
has
been
set,
you
must
type
the
administrator
password
to
access
the
full
Configuration/Setup
Utility
menu.
3.
Follow
the
instructions
on
the
screen.

Guide
that
is
on
the
IBM
System

Documentation
CD
for
more
information
about
using
the
Configuration/Setup
Utility
program.
Using
the
LSI
Logic
Configuration
Utility
program
Use
the
LSI
Logic
Configuration
Utility
program
to
configure
hot-swap
hard
disk
drives
that
are
connected
to
the
SAS/SATA
controller.
Important:
If
the
server
is
a
simple-swap
SATA
model
and
you
have
installed
an
optional
SATA
RAID
Kit,
you
can
use
the
LSI
Logic
Configuration
Utility
program
to
configure
the
simple-swap
SATA
hard
disk
drives.

If
the
server
is
a
simple-swap
SATA
model
and
you
have
installed
an
optional
SATA
RAID
Kit,
you
can
use
the
LSI
Logic
Configuration
Utility
program
to
configure
the
simple-swap
SATA
hard
disk
drives.
v
If
you
install
an
optional
RAID
controller
in
the
server,
such
as
the
ServeRAID
8s
controller,
use
the
configuration
software
that
comes
with
the
adapter
to
configure
the
hard
disk
drives.
To
start
the
LSI
Logic
Configuration
Utility
program,
complete
the
following
steps:
1.
Turn
on
the
server.
2.
When
the
prompt
Press
CTRL-C
to
start
LSI
Logic
Configuration
Utility...
appears,
press
Ctrl+C.
If
you
have
set
an
administrator
password,
you
are
prompted
to
type
the
password.
