To define the amount of time to wait for a response from the LAN Extender, use the lextimeout command
in interface configuration mode. To return to the default time, use the no form of this command.

lex timeout milliseconds

no lex timeout [ milliseconds ] lex timeout command

Time, in milliseconds, to wait for a response from the
LAN Extender before resending the command. It can
be a number in the range 500 to 60,000. The default
is 2000 ms.

This command was introduced.

This command is no longer supported in Cisco_IOS Mainline or
Technology-based (T) releases. It may continue to appear in Cisco_IOS
12.2S-family releases.

The lextimeout command defines the amount of time that the router waits to receive an acknowledgment
after having sent a command to the LAN Extender.

The following example causes unacknowledged packets to be resent at 4-second intervals:
