Making Calls
To adjust the receiver volume (HIGH, MEDIUM or LOW)
or speaker volume (6 levels) while talking

MEDIUM or LOW). Your phone comes from
the factory set to level MEDIUM.

comes from the factory set to level 3.
•When you replace the battery, the selected receiver/speaker volume setting will
return to the factory set. Reprogram if necessary.

To put a call on hold
Press 
(HOLD/CLEAR).
•“Line on hold” is displayed.
•The IN USE/CHARGE/HOLD indicator on the base 
unit flashes.
•If you put a call on hold for more than 6 minutes, an alarm tone will sound. The
call will be disconnected after a total of 10 minutes.
To release the hold
Lift the handset, or press

•If another phone is connected on the same line (p. 53), you can also release the
hold by lifting its handset.
