How to Use the Pause Feature

commend you insert
 
“X” if a pause is required for dialling with a PBX or to
access a long distance service. (When X is pressed, ‘p’ is displayed on LCD).
Eg. Line access number I (PBX).

(After a few seconds, display will start showing the length of the call).
• Pressing X once creates a pause.
This prevents misdialling when you redial or dial a stored number.
• Pressing X more than once increases the length of the pause between
numbers.
Temporary Tone  Dialling
(For Rotary or Pulse Service Users)

before entering access numbers which require tone dialling.
• The dialling mode changes to tone. You can enter numbers to access an
answering service, electronic banking service, etc. When you hang up, the
mode will return to pulse.

Using the Recall Feature

is used to access special telephone services (optional) such as call waiting
(When

’ is displayed on LCD). Contact your telephone
company for details.
Example: Call waiting.
When a call waiting tone is heard during a conversation:
a) To hold the existing call and accept the waiting call.

, you can switch between the first and second call.
• Depending on the provider, you may need to enter a code after pressing 
M.
Follow the instructions given by your provider.
b) To accept the waiting call and hang up the existing call.

. When the unit rings,

Wait for the call waiting to time out. This will take about 40 seconds. If your
unit is connected to a PBX, pressing 
M
allows you to access some features
of your host PBX such as transferring an extension call.
