Press and hold the 

Talk

 key until the microphone icon ( 

 ) appears on the title bar.

In a clear voice, say “What date is it?” The ASR software then tells you the current date.

Press and hold the 

Talk

 key again, and then say “What time is it?”

4.

The ASR software then tells you the current time.

 lets you record your voice and quickly send it as an email attachment, send it in a picture 

message, or set the recorded voice as your ringtone.

Hold the device’s microphone close to sound source.

 to start recording. Tap 

 to end the recording.

 to play back the voice recording.

To control playback:

Use the onscreen controls to stop or pause playback.

Drag your finger right or left on the progress bar in the middle of the screen to move forward or 
backward in the voice recording.

Open the voice recording you want to send.

2.

On the Voice Recorder screen, tap 

, and then choose a send option:

 If prompted to turn on Bluetooth, tap Yes. Select a device to send the voice recording 

to. For more information about using Bluetooth, see “Bluetooth” on page 100.

. If prompted, select the email account you want to use to send the voice recording. The 

voice recording is added as an attachment to a new email. Compose your email and tap

Open the voice recording you want to set as your ringtone.
