A/V Out Menu

For specifying whether to enable on-screen display on the external monitor.
On

: Turns on display.

: Turns off display.

For selecting the monitor type of the external monitor to be connected to the [A/V OUT] terminal. 
Set this item according to the monitor to be used.
4:3

: Set this when connecting to a conventional monitor (4:3).

: Set this when connecting to a wide monitor (16:9).

● When [System Definition] in the [Record Format] menu is set to ASD (DV)B, this item appears 

A---B and cannot be selected.

480i (U model)

576i (E model)

For selecting the resolution of video output from the [COMPONENT OUT] terminal. Set this item 
according to the monitor to be used.
480i

: Set this when connecting to a monitor that supports 480i. Selectable when [Frame 

: Set this when connecting to a monitor that supports 576i. Selectable when [Frame 

: Set this when connecting to a monitor that supports 720p.

: Set this when connecting to a monitor that supports 1080i.

● During [HDMI] output, this item appears as A---B and cannot be selected.

For selecting the resolution of video output from the [HDMI] terminal.
Set this item according to the monitor to be used. Set this item when images are not properly 
displayed on a monitor that supports a maximum output of 1080i.
480i

: Set this when connecting to a monitor that supports 480i. Selectable when [Frame & 

A60iB, A60pB, A30pB, A24pB.

: Set this when connecting to a monitor that supports 480p. Selectable when [Frame & 

A60iB, A60pB, A30pB, A24pB.

: Set this when connecting to a monitor that supports 576i. Selectable when [Frame & 

: Set this when connecting to a monitor that supports 576p. Selectable when [Frame & 

: Resolution is automatically set according to the connected monitor. Use this setting 

under normal circumstances.

For setting the color format of HDMI signals.
RGB

: Outputs RGB signals.

: Outputs upon detecting YCbCr/RGB automatically according to the connected 

monitor.

For setting the color range of HDMI signals. When connecting to a PC monitor, set this to 

AOnB.

: Set this when connecting to a PC monitor.

: Set this when connecting to a conventional monitor.

For setting the audio sound of the headphone.
Mix

: Outputs mixed sound.

Stereo : Outputs stereo sound.
