6. Compile and install the kernel
Build the kernel with the following sequence of commands:
make dep
make clean
make bzImage
/sbin/lilo (if running lilo)
make clean
make bzImage
/sbin/lilo (if running lilo)
7. Boot to the Linux operating system
If you are using lilo (Linux Loader), modify the lilo configuration file as discussed in
the kernel build README file. If there were no errors during the build, from the com-
mand prompt run:

lilo
and reboot your system.

In order to use the S1D13708 console driver with X server, you need to configure the X
