Recording Movies
R Before recording, select a frame size using the W MOVIE MODE option in the
shooting menu. Select
h 1280 (1280 × 720) for an aspect ratio of 16 : 9 (High Defi-
nition),
f (640 × 480) to record standard definition movies, or g (320 × 240) for
longer movies.
R Focus, exposure, and white balance are adjusted automatically throughout record-
ing. The color and brightness of the image may vary from that displayed before
recording begins.

R Sounds made by the camera may be recorded.
Q Do not open the battery-chamber cover during shooting or saving a movie on a
memory card. Failure to observe this precaution could prevent the movie from
being played back.
