5.1 Technical Services Available for ISR G2 Products

SMARTnet
®
Service: Provides comprehensive technical support services for the ISR G2 platforms
(both base systems and bundled systems), OS software and feature licenses, and modules including Services
Ready Engine (SRE) module. Cisco SMARTnet Services includes advance hardware replacement, OS updates,
online tools and resources, and TAC support.

Cisco Application Support plus Upgrades (SASU): Provides technical support services including updates
and upgrades for any Cisco software application running on the SRE module. Applications might include Cisco
Unity Express, Cisco AXP, Cisco WLC, Cisco WAAS, and Cisco Video Surveillance.

Cisco Services for Intrusion Prevention System (IPS): Provides Cisco SMARTnet Service deliverables
including hardware support, OS updates, online tools and resources, plus provides signature updates and
additional services for ISR G2 routers with a security feature set with IPS or an IPS network module.
