Trapeze Networks RMTS-10 Fiche De Données
DATA SHEET ─ RingMaster WLAN Management Software™ (RM™)
RingMaster™ (RM™)
An award-winning, full-featured client server application, RingMaster™ from Trapeze Networks enables IT
organizations to perform pre- and post deployment planning, configuration, and monitoring, of the Trapeze
Mobility System™ wireless LAN infrastructure as well as create detailed reports.
organizations to perform pre- and post deployment planning, configuration, and monitoring, of the Trapeze
Mobility System™ wireless LAN infrastructure as well as create detailed reports.
RingMaster™ provides live or off-line changes and gives the
user the power to deploy or roll back configurations
atomically across the entire network, on demand, in a few
clicks of a mouse. Ringmaster features a Wizard-based
Virtual Site Survey™ and automated capacity planning tools
greatly simplify the RF planning stage, no RF expertise is
required. AutoCAD DXF™, AutoCAD DWG, JPEG or GIF floor
plan files may all be imported to design wireless LANs offline.
RingMaster includes a library of radio frequency (RF)
attenuators defined for building obstacles, including many
types of doors, walls, ceilings, and other physical obstructions.
Custom RF obstacles may also be defined. RingMaster factors
in the impact these objects have on how RF signals flow
through a given facility.

RingMaster automatically determines how many Trapeze
Mobility Point™ (MP™) radios or Trapeze Open Access Point
Initiative (OAPI) compliant 3rd Part Access Points need to be
installed in any part of a building, taking into consideration the
RF obstacles and, optionally, a capacity plan based on the
number of users and their bandwidth demands.
A detailed work order that shows exactly where to install
Trapeze Mobility Points is created by the system and scores of
Trapeze Mobility Exchange™ (MX™) switches and thousands
of MPs are automatically configured in one step, including
security policies, radio channel and power settings, and
roaming profiles for users. RingMaster also provides automatic
verification of any configuration updates, ensuring that network
changes do not introduce errors.
RingMaster greatly simplifies the operation of the wireless
LAN. Stay air-aware with RF topology mapping and
optimization; coverage hole mitigation, continuous, scheduled,
or on-demand rogue detection; network wide event reporting,
user monitoring, location awareness, and packet tracing; as
well as complete RF management and monitoring of network
usage patterns to protect against unwanted intrusions and
denial of service (DoS) attacks RingMaster also detects,
identifies, and locates rogue access points (APs), their users,
DoS and probe attacks, as well as 802.11 ad hoc networks.
In addition, RingMaster features server based user and
network statistic collection. Graphical data displays include
user sessions, network activity, RADIUS server and AAA
activity as well as RF health and coverage.
