If you call 
LoadExternalModule
 on the 
.dll
 file, then
If you specify it with an absolute pathname, LabWindows/CVI loads that file. 
If you specify it with a relative pathname, LabWindows/CVI searches for the 
.dll
 
file in the following places and order indicated.
1.
In the project list.
2.
In the directory in which the project file is located.
3.
Among other modules already loaded.
4.
In the directories specified in the documentation for the Windows SDK 
LoadLibrary
 function. In this case, the include file for the DLL must be in 
the project or in one of the include paths you specify in the Include Paths 
command in the Options menu of the Project window.
