These steps are used for creating all report types. Be sure to know which log(s) you

Creating a Report

Start Reporter.

Select the report type you want and click Copy.
The pre-configured reports include some basic programing to simplify the
customization process. It is recommended that you create a copy prior to
making changes, leaving the default report unmodified.

Click the Properties button (while your copy is selected). The Report Properties
dialog box appears.

Click New from within the Database Queries section. The Database Query
Properties dialog box appears.

Select your DSN (Data Source Name). This is the name of your database file or

Select the appropriate Log file(s) for the report. Click OK to close the Database

Click on the Distribution tab and select the appropriate checkbox.

Make any changes you require on the Advanced tab and write any information
you desire on the Notes tab.

Save your new report template.
Generating the Report

Select your report from the list.

Click Generate.
The Report Generator extracts the requested information from the database,
applies the TOU (if required), and displays the report in Microsoft Excel. Larger
reports with many queries may take a few minutes to complete.

If you selected the checkbox for Interactive Date Range on the Advanced tab, you are prompted to select
the date range within the Interactive Date Range screen.
