Setup / Uninstall
Setup
The setup program for PitStop is called "PitStop Professional Setup". Double-click the setup program and
follow the on-screen prompts to install the software on your system.
Uninstall
Windows: The software can be removed from your system using the "Add/Remove Software" control panel.
Macintosh: The software can be removed by running the setup program and choosing the "Uninstall" option.

This is a free maintenance release for existing PitStop Professional 6.0 users. This release fixes or enhances
functionality in several areas:
•
All features and bug fixes of PitStop Professional 6.5, now available in all supported languages
(English – French – German – Spanish – Italian).
•
No more Acrobat crash when executing Action List to remove bookmarks.
•
Transparent objects in a form with transparency settings will maintain their original transparency
percentage after preflighting or moving the form.
•
Updated Smart Profile Compare mechanism, used to compare PDF Profiles in the Certified
Workflow.

Enfocus PitStop Professional 6.5
This is a free maintenance release for existing PitStop Professional 6.0 users. This release fixes or enhances
functionality in several areas:

PitStop Professional 6.5 supports Acrobat 7 and enables you to check and fix PDF 1.6 specific
features during preflight.
•
This version of PitStop Professional installs the new set of PDF Profiles (only if there was no prior
installation of one of the Enfocus products). These PDF Profiles can also be found on our website
http://www.enfocus.com/profiles/
•
Selecting the action "Change Annotation's Print Settings" on Windows will no longer cause a crash.
•
The check for 16 bit images is now included in the Smart Profile Compare, used to compare PDF
Profiles in the Certified Workflow.
•
The transparency of an image with a SMask (= a mask containing transparency attributes) won't
disappear when executing an image resolution, image compression or color change.
•
Refreshing issues regarding control panels.
•
Updated policy regarding text editing:
In PitStop Professional 6.5 in conjunction with Acrobat 7 following font licensing rules apply:
If the font is embedded and allows editing, you are notified to comply to the font license agreement
and asked if you obtained the necessary permissions from your font vendor. When answered yes,
text editing is allowed.
In PitStop Professional 6.5 in conjunction with Acrobat 6 on Mac OS X text editing is only allowed if
the font is installed on your system.
