Open the
Control Panel
window and double-click on the
Network
icon
shown at right.

In the
Network
dialog (shown on
), double-click
TCP/IP
under
the
Configuration
tab (or highlight
TCP/IP
then click
Properties
).

On the
IP Address
tab, select
Specify an IP address.

Enter an IP address and subnet mask for the PC, then click
OK
.

Restart the PC to effect the new settings.
