Accessing BOOT Mode with Corrupted Operational Images
The Avaya P580 and P882 Multiservice switch will automatically come up 
in BOOT mode if both operational images are corrupted.
You will see the following output on your console:

Password Recovery
The following command is used to reset the switch to the factory default 
passwords.
initLogins
Syntax
Boot> initLogins set <0=no change, 1=factory default>
Description
Using a value of zero will retain the current passwords in NVRAM upon 
resetting the switch. Using a value of one will restore the factory default 
passwords in NVRAM upon resetting the switch.
