The amount of printing taking place at the POS is not only growing but 
also  becoming  more  sophisticated.  This  is  why EPSON is constantly 
working to further develop its products. 
At  63  lines  (200  mm)  per  second,  the  TM-H6000III  prints  receipts 
even  faster  than  its  predecessor,  the  TM-H6000II.  The  new  model 
offers  two-colour,  razor-sharp  thermal  printing  in  180-dpi  resolution, 
which  makes  it  particularly  suitable  for  graphics  and  logos.  With  the 
new  hybrid  printer,  special  offers  and  corporate  logos  can  be  ideally 
positioned  as  eyecatchers  on  the  receipts.  A  digital  logo  memory  of 
up  to  384  KB  plus  a  user  memory  of  12  +  3  KB  take  care  of  speed 
here.  When  it  comes  to  slip  printing,  the  TM-6000III  also  produces 
outstanding  quality  at  top  speed:  5.7  lines  per  second  thanks  to  a 
bidirectional printing head. 

Time is money and long queues are not a sign of good service. Cus-
tomers  set  great  store  by  smooth  processing  at  the  POS,  which  is 
why,  in  the  TM-H6000III,  changing  of  both  the  paper  role  and  the 
printing  ribbon  are  as  simple  as  can  be.  Shop  staff  can  change  the 
paper  using  the  tried  and  trusted  ”drop-in”  method  and  only  a  mini-
mum  of  effort  is  involved  in  replacing  the  ribbon.  In  addition,  the 
printer reports automatically to the cash register system via the auto-
matic status-back function as soon as there is a change in the printer 
status.  When  the  paper  role  for  receipts  is  coming  to  an  end,  the 
near-end and end sensor reports this immediately to the cash register 
system, thus ensuring that a new paper role can be inserted in good 
time.  Moreover,  the  TM-H6000III  has  an  integrated  autocutter  which 
cuts off every receipt precisely. 
The TM-H6000III works quickly and reliably to satisfy a wide range of 
requirements.  This  is  something  the  new  hybrid  printer  also  proves, 
for  example,  when  it  prints  cheques.  The  cheque  runs  through  the 
printer  once,  in  a  so-called  ”single  pass”,  so  that  there  is  no  time-
consuming turning of paper when double-sided printing is needed. In 
addition  to  this,  the  TM-H6000III  provides  the  option  of  recognising 
the magnetic number code from the cheque (MICR).  

Yet  it  is  not  only  in  the  printing  of  receipts  and  slips  that  the  TM-
H6000III  proves  its  versatility.  Thanks  to  the  many  interfaces  avail-
able, integration of the printer into virtually any cash register environ-
ment poses absolutely no problems. And if the cash register configu-
ration  should  change,  the  interface  can  be changed, say, from serial 
to USB or Ethernet - making the investment an undeniably safe one. 
Every  centimetre  counts  at  the  cash  desk,  which  is  why  the  shelf 
space of the TM-H6000III measures just 18.6 x 29.8 cm - less than a 
sheet  of  A4  paper.  The housing is obtainable either in EPSON ”dark 
grey” or EPSON ”cool white”. The functional elegance of this compact 
cash register printer helps to make customers feel they are getting a 
competent,  all-round  service.  After  all,  the  TM-H6000III  is  a  true 
sprinter when it comes to professionalism.
