Before You Begin
There are a few things you should know before you
plug in and enjoy your receiver.
• Your receiver is constantly updating and storing
new programs, even while you are listening to it.
This means that you don’t have to worry about
missing new programs while listening to other
programs. The information will be there when you
are ready to listen to it.
•  The receiver is constantly recharging its batteries
when it is plugged into a wall outlet or car lighter.
Command Audio recommends to always use an AC/
DC power source.  The batteries are provided as a
convenience, for those situations when an
alternative power source is not readily available.
We recommend using your batteries primarily as a
backup power source.
•  When you are NOT listening to the receiver:
—always leave it plugged into a power source when
possible.
—always slide the switch to ON or STANDBY so that
the receiver can gather and store new programs.  If
you switch the receiver to OFF, it will NOT receive
and update programs.
Your receiver is programmed at the factory with
various program examples, but in order to receive
continuous updates of programs, you must activate
your receiver with Command Audio.
Activating Your Receiver
Your receiver is pre-set at the factory to begin
capturing our most popular programs for a 24-hour
period from the first time you turn the power on. In
order to continue receiving updates of programs
after that 24-hour period, you must activate your
receiver with Command Audio.
To activate your receiver:
1. Dial the Toll-Free Activation phone number printed
on the sticker on your unit. 1.800.264.7289
2. Please have your receiver and credit card ready for
Listener Care.
Once you have activated, please peel off the sticker.
