  You can use other programs on your device while it is in the holder. While on 
another program screen, press the FOOTPRINTS button to return to the NaviPanel.
 
  When your device is in the holder but is not connected to a Bluetooth car kit or 
headset, the device’s speakerphone is automatically turned on when you make or 
answer a phone call. To turn the speakerphone off during a call, see “Call Functions” 
in Chapter .
NaviPanel settings
You can change what happens when you put the device in the in-car holder (Car Kit 
Mode). 
To open the Car Kit Mode screen and change settings
1. 
In NaviPanel, tap Menu > Options.
Tip 
You can also tap Start > Settings > System tab > Car Kit Mode to open the Car 
Kit Mode screen.

Choose from the following options:
Auto launch NaviPanel in car kit mode. When this is cleared, NaviPanel 
is not automatically launched when you put the device in the in-car 
holder. To launch NaviPanel manually when the device is in the holder, 
press the FOOTPRINTS button.
Auto connect to your chosen default Bluetooth device in Car Kit 
Mode. When this is cleared, your device does not automatically connect 
to the default Bluetooth car kit or headset when you put it in the in-car 
holder. To connect manually at any time, ensure that Bluetooth is turned 
on, and then tap Start > Settings > Connections tab > Bluetooth, tap 
and hold the name of the car kit or headset, and tap Set as Hands-free or 
Set as Wireless Stereo.
