The freeConnect 2400 provides an 
easy and inexpensive way to create or 
extend your network. With its 24 
10/100Mbps ports, adding additional 
clients is fast and simple. Its chassis is 
designed to fit into a standard 19” rack 
and only takes up 1U of space, ideal for 
medium to large workgroups.

 HARDWARE INSTALLATION:

When installing the freeConnect 2400, 
keep the following points in mind:

1. Install the unit in a cool and dry place. 
Refer to the manual for details on 
permissible temperature and humidity 
ranges.

The switch can be mounted in an EIA 
standard-size, 19-inch rack, which can be 
placed in a wiring closet along with other 
equipment. To mount the unit, attach the 
mounting brackets to the switch’s front 
panel (one on each side), and secure 
them with the screws provided (Figure 1).
