C3K122-24 and C3K122-24P
The C3K122‐24 and C3K122‐24P (
) have several types of front panel port and rear panel
connections, which include:

Twenty‐four RJ45 ports (10/100/1000 Mbps, 1000BASE‐T copper ports). The 10/100/1000 Mbps
fixed front panel ports can operate in either half‐duplex or full‐duplex mode, as determined
by Auto‐Negotiation. The C3K122‐24P (only) is a PoE capable device. For more information

Four Combo Small Form Pluggable (SFP) slots provide you with the option of installing
Mini‐GBICs for 1000BASE‐X and 100BASE‐FX fiber‐optic connections and 1000BASE‐T
copper connections.

Rear panel connectors for high‐speed connections in a stack configuration.

Rear panel Redundant Power Supply connector for a redundant power supply connection.
The C3K122‐24 switch connects to an Enterasys C2RPS‐SYS using a C2RPS‐PSM Cable. The
C3K122‐24P switch connects to an Enterasys C2RPS‐POE using a C2RPS‐POE Cable.
The C3K122‐24 switch connects to an Enterasys C2RPS‐SYS using a C2RPS‐PSM Cable. The
C3K122‐24P switch connects to an Enterasys C2RPS‐POE using a C2RPS‐POE Cable.

Caution: The C3K122-24 is not a PoE-compliant device. Do not connect a SecureStack
C2 PoE Redundant Power System (C2RPS-POE) to the power connector. Otherwise,
damage to the device may result.

Note: Each of these Mini-GBIC ports eliminates the availability of one RJ45 port on a
C3K122-24 or C3K122-24P switch. For example, when a Mini-GBIC installed in one of
the Combo SFP ports (21 through 24) establishes a link, the associated fixed front
panel RJ45 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX/1000BASE-T port is disabled.
