Summary: For long-term reliability of units within specific serial number ranges, replace 
both Ambilight Lamp Assemblies.  In addition, for the right side Ambilight, shorten the 
tape securing the cables to the inverter board.

Affected Serial Number Ranges: 
For all above model numbers: 
•  Serial numbers that start with "AG": (AGxxxxxxxxxxxx) 
 
For 50PF9630A/37 and 50PF9630A/37B: 
•  Serial numbers that start with "AG": (AGxxxxxxxxxxxx) or 

•  Serial numbers that start with "YA" and are in the range from YA1A0523xxxxxx through 

YA1A0534xxxxxx 

 
Note: The TV serial number can be viewed on the TV screen by entering the Customer Service 
Mode (CSM).  Enter the following key sequence with the remote control: “1 2 3 6 5 4” to access 
the CSM display.  See the example below.  (Note: Picture for illustration purposes only.  Do not 
pay any attention to the serial number in this sample picture.).  Exit the CSM by pressing any 
button on the remote control except for Channel Up/Down, Volume Up/Down, Mute, or the
